The Foothills has the most demanding mix of houses we work in: significant custom homes, many built in the 1970s and 80s and since heavily remodelled, sitting on hillsides with mature landscaping and serious view glass.
That mix creates two recurring problems. The first is wire routing in older block construction with limited attic access — solvable, but it takes someone who has done it here before rather than someone guessing. The second is that many of these homes already carry an automation system, often an ageing one, installed by a company that is no longer around. Taking over and modernising an existing Crestron, Control4 or Savant install is some of our most common Foothills work.
We also do a lot of landscape and architectural lighting up there, where the hillside setting and mature planting genuinely reward it.
