Tucson is not a market we expanded into — it is where this company was founded and where every one of our technicians lives. Chad Carney started Millennium Electrical Systems here in 1994. Automation Specialists Inc was established here in 1995. The two merged in January 2024 to form AV & Automation Specialists LLC, and we now run three Tucson locations.

Thirty years in one city changes how you work. We know which neighbourhoods are block construction and which are frame, which HOAs care about exterior camera placement, and what a July afternoon does to equipment mounted on a west wall. That is not marketing — it is the reason our installs are still working in year ten.

We cover the whole metro: the Foothills, midtown, the east side, Rita Ranch, the northwest through Casas Adobes and Marana, and out to Vail, Sahuarita, Green Valley and SaddleBrooke. Consultations are free, and there is no obligation.

Where are your Tucson locations?

Three. Our operations centre is at 4775 S Butterfield Dr, Suite 151, Tucson AZ 85714. Our Control4 Experience Center Showroom is at 2015 N Forbes Blvd, Suite 105, Tucson AZ 85745. Our Lutron Ketra Lighting and Shade Showroom is at 8339 N Oracle Rd #101, Tucson AZ 85704. All three are on (520) 999-3233. All three are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Both showrooms are by appointment only.

Can I visit the showroom without an appointment?

You are welcome to come by during business hours, but call ahead. An appointment means someone is free to actually walk you through a working system rather than handing you a brochure.

How long have you been in Tucson?

Since 1994. The business traces back to Millennium Electrical Systems, founded in Tucson that year, which became AV Specialists in 2006 and merged with Automation Specialists Inc — a Tucson company established in 1995 — in January 2024.

Do you charge for a Tucson site visit?
