Automation Solutions

Whole-home automation designed around how your family actually lives — lighting, climate, audio, video, shades, pool and security from one interface.

Interested in a home automation system but have no idea where to start? We are here to help. For no cost or obligation, we will meet with you, review your plans or walk your new or existing home, and provide various design solutions based on scalable automated systems built around how you and your family live.

Do you want a simple, low-cost living room home theater system with an easy-to-use remote control and zone-two audio for the common and patio areas? A dedicated man cave or theater room? Or an affordable home automation system for the whole house?

Control all aspects of your automated home using your TV's navigation screen, a handheld remote, a wall-mounted touch screen, or your Apple or Android device. Free up wall space by tucking your home's electronic components out of sight. Hang a TV on the wall and add surround speakers for a true in-home theater experience. Share all your audio and video sources — Blu-ray, cable or satellite TV, Apple TV, or streaming content — from any TV in your home.

Adjust your HVAC, turn on the pool lights and spa, adjust the lighting, close the blinds, turn on the alarm and lock the doors before bed by pressing the sleep button on your master bedroom keypad. Control your system remotely over a secure, encrypted connection. These are just a few examples of how a smart automated home can work for you.

What this includes

  • One interface for lighting, climate, audio, video, shades, pool, spa and security
  • Control from TV navigation, handheld remote, wall touchscreen or your phone
  • Secure encrypted remote access from anywhere
  • Components tucked out of sight to free up wall space
  • Share every audio and video source to any TV in the home
  • Scenes: one button for 'goodnight', 'movie', 'away' or 'entertaining'
  • Scalable — start with one room and grow the system later
  • Free, no-obligation design consultation

How it works

  1. We listen first

Before any equipment is discussed we ask how you use the house: which rooms matter, what frustrates you now, who else needs to be able to work it.

  2. Multiple scalable designs

You get options at different price points, all built so you can add to them later rather than replace them.

  3. Platform recommendation

We are authorised for Control4, Crestron Home, Savant, Lutron and Josh.ai, so we recommend the platform that fits — not the only one we carry.

  4. Install, program, calibrate

Wiring, mounting, programming and tuning by our own technicians.

  5. Training and ongoing support

We do not leave until everyone in the household can run it, and our service department is there afterwards.

Automation Solutions — common questions

Can I automate an existing home, or does it have to be new construction?
Both work. New construction is cheaper because we can pre-wire before drywall, but a large share of our work is retrofit — wireless lighting, in-wall keypads and shading systems that go into a finished house without opening walls. We will tell you honestly during the free consultation which parts of your wish list are practical without demolition.
What happens if my internet goes down?
A properly designed system keeps working. Lighting scenes, keypads, shades and local audio and video all run on the in-home controller, not the cloud. What you lose while the internet is out is remote access from your phone and streaming services — not control of your house.
Where should I start if I only have a small budget?
Usually lighting. Centralised lighting control with a few well-placed keypads changes daily life more than any other single system, it is the easiest to expand from, and it is the one people notice most. A living room surround system is the other common starting point.
